I'm a College Connections student. How do I borrow materials from the JCC Libraries?

Answer

Can I borrow materials from the JCC Libraries?

As a College Connections student, you receive the same library access as on-campus and online JCC students, including borrowing materials from the libraries' physical collections (books, media, etc.).

If you attend one of the high schools listed below, we can ship materials to you via your instructor.  If you are not attending one of these schools, you will need to come to the library to borrow materials in person.

  • Bemus Point
  • Brocton
  • Cassadaga Valley
  • Chautauqua
  • Clymer
  • Dunkirk
  • Falconer
  • Forestville
  • Fredonia
  • Jamestown
  • Maple Grove
  • Mayville
  • Panama
  • Pine Valley
  • P-TECH
  • Ripley
  • Sherman
  • Silver Creek
  • Southwestern
  • Westfield

How to request materials

  1. Sign in to Primo and begin your search.
  2. When you find an item you'd like to borrow, click on the title in the results list to view the full record.
  3. Under the Get It section of the record, click on Place a Hold.
    • From the Preferred Location drop down menu, select Hultquist Library - Jamestown Campus.
    • Select a date when you no longer need the item from the calendar pop-out under Not needed after.
    • In the Comments field, enter your high school name, the JCC course you're taking (ex. ENG1530), and your instructor's name.
    • Click Send Request.

Please note: Hold requests are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Requested materials may not be available to ship immediately and may take up to 14 days to be delivered.
