Ordering Course Materials Online

*The bookstore offers free standard ground shipping for course material orders fulfilled in the two weeks prior to the start of classes.

  1. Visit our website at sunyjcc.bncollege.com
  2. Hover your cursor “Course Materials & Textbooks” at the top left of the page. Then click “Find Course Materials.”
  3. Use the course information on your student schedule to fill out the selections on this page. Hint: the section is also the same as your course’s CRN.
  4. Choose the materials for your course you would like to purchase, and what format you would like them.
    1. Please read any course or item messages thoroughly. There are helpful bits of information from your professor, or the bookstore, that will help you determine what choices may be best for you.
  5. Click “Add Item to Cart.” When you are ready to check out click “Check out.”
  6. Sign-in or create an account if this is your first time placing an order through our website. Be sure to use your JCC email address.
  7. Choose your delivery method. 
    1. If you are not picking textbooks up from the Jamestown campus, be sure to select Ship to Address on every item in your cart.
    2. Shipping (Standard Ground Shipping, 2 Business Day Shipping, 1 Business Day Shipping.)
  8. Choose your method of payment.
    1. If using financial aid: When asked for your Student ID please enter your full J# (ex:J0012345)
    2. If you receive funds from a third party such as the VA or Access-VR please email SM8369@bncollege.com after placing your order letting us know so we can ensure the correct funds are used to pay for your materials.
  9. Place Order.

*Please note that while we make every effort to fulfill the condition of book requested, we do sometimes sell out of used copies. In this case, there is a message on our website when choosing the book condition that states that if a student requests a used copy of a book and none are available, we will substitute it with a new copy.

Using Financial Aid

Financial aid can be used to purchase course materials, school supplies, laptops, and electronics.  

Financial aid becomes available for use in the Campus Store two weeks prior to the start of classes. And is available for a limited time during the beginning of the semester.

Renting Textbooks

●You can still write and highlight in your rental textbook! Just make sure to return your textbook at the end of the semester with no major damage, such as water damage or missing pages.

●Rentals are due back to the bookstore by the Friday of finals week. Giving you access to your materials right through your final exams. 

●Purchasing a rental textbook will require a credit or debit card to be put on file. If you are using a different method of payment to purchase your materials, such as financial aid, this card will not be charged unless the rental is not returned to the bookstore by the due date.

We make it easy to return your rentals at the end of the semester, even if you are not on campus. Just download and print out a flat-fee return shipping label from our website!
