How do I find statistics?
Answer
- From the Library Homepage click on Articles & Databases and change the All Subjects drop-down list to Social/Political Sciences. Scroll down to find Statistical Abstract of the United States which contains statistics from Governmental and Non-Governmental sources. You can search by keyword, or browse the Table of Contents. You will need your student Username and Password to access this database if you are off-campus.
- You can find many print sources containing statistics from Primo, the JCC libraries catalog. Use the facet menu on the right side of the result page to "tweak your results".
- The U.S. Census Bureau Is a government source to find demographic information about specific communities in the United States.
- For international statistics and demographics, try the United Nations Statistics Division Databases, the CIA World Factbook, or the library database CountryWatch
- Use the JCC Libraries Internet Sources LibGuide (Statistics page) for a list of excellent statistics websites.
