Start in the Library Databases: from the Library Homepage click on Databases by Title under SEARCH COLLECTIONS. Go to "S" and click on Statistical Abstract of the United States.  This database contains statistics from the U.S. Census bureau and many other sources.  You can search by keyword, or browse the Table of Contents.   Try searching "Firearms."  Remember, you will need your student Username and Password to access the database if you are off-campus.

Go to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives website (link below.)  From the menu bar, select "Publications" then "Firearms."  You will find a report on firearms commerce that contains statistics.  Also, try searching for "Statistics" from the seach box in the upper right corner.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (link below) provides detailed statistics on background checks for firearms transfers.

From the JCC Libraries Homepage, use the Internet Sources LibGuide (Statistics page) for a list of online statistical sources. (Link below).
