How do I find the definition of a word?

The JCC Libraries have numerous dictionaries and thesauri in print. You can also find dictionaries online:

From the JCC Library Homepage (link below) go to Databases by Title under SEARCH COLLECTIONS.  You will find the Oxford English Dictionary under the letter "O".  If you are off-campus you will need your JCC Student ID and password to access the database.

The JCC Internet Sources Libguide (on the JCC Library Homepage under Libguides) contains a "Dictionaries" page (link below). or Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary are both good online dictionaries.
